Home remedies for cold and cough

As winter or rainy seasons start, Most of us get infect with cold and cough. It affects all age group but kids get more affected.  So, we all store so many medicines for cold and cough. Excessive use of such medicines also affects your body and decreases your immune power of your body. Now we will have look on some natural home remedies which not only help you to get out this cold and cough problems, it will also boost your immunity. Here I am sharing some best home remedies for cold and cough which are also tested on me by parents.

Salt Gargling

Take a glass of Luke warm water and add a half teaspoon salt and gargle with it twice a day. It helps to ease sore throat. . The saline water helps soothe the pain.

Milk and Turmeric

We know turmeric has medicinal properties. Turmeric is good treatment for viral infections and cough – cold. Add a teaspoon turmeric powder in one glass of little warm milk and have it before you go to sleep. It’s most popular and effective way to treat cough and cold.

Lemon, cinnamon and honey

This is an authentic treatment for normal cold. Take a pan and put some honey, fill it to half and use a double boiler until it is thin like Warm Water.  Now add a teaspoon cinnamon. Your solution is ready and uses it to treat cough and cold.

Honey, Lime water and warm water

Generally we use lime water for good digestion. Now add lime juice with honey and little warm water. It will help to cure cough and cold.

Flaxseeds for cold and cough

Take few teaspoon flaxseeds in a pan and add water. Boil it until thickness and strain it. Now add few drops of lime juice and honey. Your mixture is ready. Now you can have it and will help to cure cold and cough.

Ginger –Tulsi Mixture

Ginger and Tulsi both have medicinal properties. In Ayurveda both plays big role. Take ginger juice and mixed with few drops honey and crushed tulsi. This mixture will help to get relief from cough.

Sauté garlic

Take some garlic cloves and sauté it in ghee. When this is warm, consume it. It can help you to get relief from common cold and cough.

Carrot juice

Carrot juice is very helpful for fight against Cough. It prevent from create cough. It seems little unconventional but its works.

Carom Seeds (ajwain)

Prepare a mixture of a teaspoon carom seeds (aswain) and tulsi leaves.  Now add some water and boil this mixture. It can help to keep the cough in check. It also play an effective role in relieving chest congestion.

Ginger tea

In winter season we all prefer ginger tea and everyone should have it. It helps by drying up your dripping noise. It also expels phlegm from respiratory tract. Ginger is most common home remedies to treat common cold and help to speed your recovery process.
